Quick Dwarf Hamster Care Guide

Hamsters are fun and clean animals that are very popular pets. Once adjusted to their home and owners, they are very loving animals that enjoy play time. One thing they are known for is being able to store food in special pouches in their cheeks. Oftentimes you can find them pushing food out of their pouches with their front legs.

Before deciding on a hamster as a pet, you should make sure you meet the following requirements:

  • I have a dry, non-drafty place to put your hamster.
  • I understand that male and female hamsters should not be living together.
  • I have the time to provide daily play time with my hamster.
  • There is a responsible person who is capable of caring for the hamster on a regular basis.

You should know and meet all of these requirements above. If so, a hamster might be right for you!
